Montgomery's Weis Little Store

While the majority of Weis' supermarket stores tend to be on the larger side, there is still at least one that is pretty tiny. Likely thanks to its proximity to Weis HQ in Sunbury, PA, this small and likely fairly original store continues to operate. As you will see from the photos, this store has been updated, but it has an interesting layout thanks to what was very likely an expansion into part of attached strip mall. Despite its small size and general lack of selection by comparison to other Weis stores, I'm glad to see Weis continue to operate to serve the Pennsylvania community of Montgomery. I have a lot of respect for companies that operate small stores like this in rural areas when they are typically known for having much larger stores.

Without further ado, let's take a look at this unique Weis:

As you can see from the photo, this is a small Weis! Note that the far left side isn't even used by Weis! I'm suspecting Weis expanded to the right, but I could be wrong, as you will see below.

New products which one could take for granted at other Weis locations
I was immediately drawn to the right, as the change in elevation drew my attention. Not a common thing nowadays.

The suspected expansion area actually had a lot of the supermarket staples you'd expect. I'm not sure Weis would want to continue to operate this store if they didn't have this space.

Now we head back into the store core:

Small little selection of Greeting cards

This 'features' display feels original to the store. Definitely a relic even if it isn't.

A small little book department

Look at that dated ICE machine. That's cool literally. (sorry)
