Tops store #39, located in Newfane, NY, is another smaller store for the chain. Unlike other smaller locations, though, it still manages to have a bakery and deli. I particularly found the recycling center looking like a garage addition amusing. This was formerly a Budwey's until 2014 and a Shurfine before that.

Tops acquired this store from Budwey's in July 2014. It was a Shurfine until about the end of 2007, with Budwey's opening around June 2009.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Figured it was an acquisition store store.
DeleteReally enjoyed this look at the Newfane Tops store and its unique features like the bakery and deli — it’s great to see how even smaller retail locations can have character and community value. With so many interesting retail formats evolving across the industry this year, from neighborhood grocers to global leaders reshaping how we shop, it’s clear that enhancing the customer experience remains key in retail today. brand promoters play a big role in that journey by helping share these stories, connect shoppers with what matters, and build loyalty through genuine engagement. Thanks for sharing this snapshot of local retail life!
