Shenango Valley Mall

The Shenango Valley Mall, just like most malls today, has fallen on hard times. Closing signs have appeared for many of the stores here and nothing hit it as hard as when it lost two of its three anchors at the same time. The mall's anchors were Sears, JCPenney and Macy's during its heyday, but it is now left with just JCPenney. The following photos come from two separate 2017 trips. One of which captures the two anchors during their closing sale (which can be found on my Flickr photostream); the other after they closed down. 








Pay attention to the area with no numbers in blue. We'll talk more about that later.














When I visited the first time I was unaware of the hidden mall wing. This area is the unnumbered blue area I mentioned in the mall map's photo caption. To access it, you go down this:

Rue 21 and FYE would follow Sears & Macy's by also closing their stores here
