The Former Tops of Fulton

 

    Back in 2018, Tops was in the middle of bankruptcy. As a result, 10 locations were closed. As one of those 10 locations, the former location in Fulton, NY will be the focus of this post. This was a smaller Tops location that had been acquired from Struppler Shurfine in 2015 with eight aisles. There was also a gas station outside of it. Best I can tell, this location remains vacant, likely due in part to its poor location.  

Former Kmart #3396

    Poughkeepsie at one point had two Kmart stores. This location, along with a location at the South Hills Mall which was later de-malled. Kmart survived the de-malling, but still would close it by the time I got to the area. Based off the layout, Poughkeepsie's (Duchess Turnpike) Kmart appears to have been a former Grant City. The store had a pharmacy, but it is not clear if it had a cafe and/or restaurant. The space where this would of been was occupied by Jackson-Hewitt tax office at the time of my visit. To my knowledge, this store remains vacant.
