Shinglehouse's DG Market

As promised last month, we will now tour the newly built Dollar General Market in Shinglehouse. Being a proper supermarket, DG Market does indeed offer meats, produce and a wider variety of food products. They even expanded their HBA offerings to include cosmetics. From my observations, it appears that every department (except maybe homegoods) appears to of have their offerings expanded.

Seeing a cart corral at a Dollar General is something I didn't expect.

The store opened without any exterior signage up, but did receive it later.

Produce offerings were a little barebones at first, but I assume that to be caused by just opening up.

Self Checkout

A look at the now former DG. They pretty much left everything behind.

Former Kmart #7048

NOTE: This post comes from outside the blog's coverage area.

The one New Hampshire Kmart I was able to visit was the location in West Lebanon. This location was heavily remodeled to a more modern look. As a result, it was a very nice store that featured Little Caesars. A pharmacy had been operating at one point, but it had closed by the time of my visit. It had an updated pet department and a checkout queue line. Even after my visit, the location still was updated with it having turned its garden shop into a Sears appliance area. The store was a late closure since it hung on until early 2020. This location is now subdivided between a Target and a Sierra trading post store.
