Catawissa's Almost Original Weis

    Just like the previously featured Montgomery Weis, we now tour another small Weis store. Unlike the Montgomery store, this location in Catawissa, PA appears to be almost original to its opening day. The only notable changes that I can see to have occurred are simply updating the exterior logo and the interior decor package. Apparently there was an attempt at an expansion for this location at one point, but those plans fell through.

    Because of the store's size, this location only has six aisles possibly making this the smallest Weis still in operation. I can't remember the exact number of checkout lanes off the top of my head, but if I'm not mistaken it had a similar setup to Montgomery with 2 proper checkout lanes and a 3rd in customer services. 

Former Kmart #3706

Moving down I-81, we come to come to our next Kmart tour in Wytheville. The store is the typical 80s layout and still operated a pharmacy. Due to its similarity to next month's store tour, both share a map. The only difference between the two stores is that Wytheville was possibly using its garden shop for a stockroom. This former Kmart store is now a Rural King.
