Nate ,the one Kmart that is closing in Erie PA is the one on Buffalo Rd(Harborcreek)...I'm hoping the ones near me in Clarion and Franklin,Pa are not on closing lists...of course you never know with Sears Holdings habit of announcing closings thru the local media...
ReplyDeleteYes that location is listed. Hope so as well. Best bet is to keep an eye out for signs.
DeleteI seen the Clarion Kmart is having a blow out end of summer in almost the whole store, also the garden shop staffing has been cut, people have to bring purchases inside the store to pay for them..does this mean anything as to a store closing?
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily. Apparently most Kmart locations are doing this sale to try get rid of some old inventory. As for employees being cut, that too is happening chain wide.
DeleteThank you for the info ..I know Sears Holdings can break leases...
ReplyDeleteI think you mean let leases expire. The only way any company can break a lease is they either pay to break it or through bankruptcy. Its unlikely the store will close unless the current lease expires, pay a fee to close the store or if the whole chain goes under.
DeleteThe Colonie Center Sears is closing? That was one of the mall's original 1966 tenants! It even still has Sears Roebuck and Co. written in gold letters on its exterior entrance.
ReplyDeleteYes even though it was remodeled to make room for Whole Foods.
