Former Kmart #9733
This month's Kmart tour focuses on the former Du Bois, PA Kmart. It looks to have originally been a small town '70s design that was later expanded upon. The store itself was definitely strange as the ceilings felt much lower then the typical Kmart. It wasn't the easiest to navigate the actionways in certain areas, but it felt like it did ok at the time of my first visit. The pharmacy was likely added in when the store expanded, as it is newer looking then the rest of store. We'll first dive into a look at the store under normal operations before taking a look at the store's liquidation sale.

Goodbye Du Bois Kmart:
This store is in the process of being occupied by a Planet Fitness,and a Hobby Lobby...haven't heard anything lately about the construction process,my guess is was it was held up by the ongoing Coronavirus crisis...
ReplyDeleteI heard that those two were planning on opening here. Good to hear, but yeah I'd imagine the virus held construction up a bit.
