This month's Kmart tour will bring us to the Syracuse, NY suburb of Liverpool. The only unique thing to define this location above others was that the former auto center appeared to have been absorbed into the store. There really isn't any evidence that this location ever had a cafe. It's possible a pharmacy could have been here at one point. It could have been removed when the auto center was absorbed into the store. Just like last month's tour, I have regular operation and liquidation photos to share. The normal operations come from October 2014 while the liquidation photos are from November 2017. We first begin with the normal operations:

And to no one's surprise... this is now a self-storage facility. It is fairly intact both inside and out.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, that's probably the best reuse given the area. The retail corridor is now in Clay.
DeleteThat's probably what happened with the Price Chopper on the other end of the shopping center, which as of 2021 had the glass part of its facade removed... most likely what is moving in is not retail.
