As one of New York's few Super Kmart locations, Queensbury was the lone former supercenter survivor for the entire northeast. Like other former supercenter locations, it too in time would be downsized. At the time of my visit, the store no longer had any special departments operating- unless you count the bottle return alcove. It did have a pharmacy, an arcade and a cafe at one point. Also worth noting that belt driven checkout lanes were in use. This location is now a U-Haul rental and storage center.
The hot air balloon art is neat. Always interesting to see former Super Kmarts, especially the closed off grocery portions.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the balloon art here was a nice touch.
