Our final Massachusetts Kmart tour brings us to the community of Palmer, just to the east of Springfield. Once again, we are touring a smaller former Grants location. There were no specialty departments at this store at the time of my visit- though it did have an auto center back in the day. This location sits vacant.
As one the former local Giant stores that Weis took over in the Binghamton, NY market, this location also happens to likely be the smallest of them. This store does not have the same layout as the other area locations as a result. Since there are two locations in Vestal, it is worth noting that this store is the location on Main Street.

This month we stop into Springfield proper and take a tour of an interesting location. I'm not sure of the history of this location, but this clearly was a location Kmart took over from somebody. (Update: It was a former JM Fields store.) There were no specialty departments at this store. This location is now subdivided between Fun City Adventure Park and a Citi Trends store.
